See these cake pops? They were a horrible idea.
I watched a video, and decided "oh, hey, I can do that". So, with the leftovers from this rainbow cake, I decided to give it a go and the results were not fantastic to say the least.
I though I did everything right. I crushed up my cake...
...busted out the icing...
...mixed it all together...
...and froze, put a stick on, and then dipped my pops. This was the very best pop.
All the other ones? They're cracked, lumpy, and horrible.
I don't know what I did wrong but I know that the problem was in the candy melts. I used a microwave with a broken place (it doesn't spin) so it didn't really melt well. It seems overly thick and was really hard to "dip" because it wasn't thin enough.
I'll probably never try cake pops again. If I do, It'll be because I'm in an adventurous mood.
